Schiffer Banned From Filming In Germany

Supermodel CLAUDIA SCHIFFER has been banned from filming an advert in her native Germany over fears she could damage a national landmark.

The pregnant L'OREAL spokesmodel and WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE host GUENTHER JAUCH were set to stand on the top of the country's highest mountain peak Zugspitze in a TV commercial for a mail-order company.

JOSEF MILLER, spokesman for the Bavarian state forestry ministry, said he would not allow Schiffer and Jauch to pose alongside giant inflatable catalogues on the 2,962 meters (9,718 feet) Alpine summit.

The pair will now shoot the ad on the patio of a funicular station lower down the mountain.
