Sandra Bernhard's Special Delivery

Comedienne Sandra Bernhard is set to increase labour pains with a guest-star as an eccentric midwife on the KELSEY GRAMMER-produced sitcom GIRLFRIENDS.

Outspoken Bernhard will take on the role for an upcoming episode, where she'll be delivering a baby for a lesbian couple.

But Bernhard, who gave birth to her own daughter CICELY YASIN in 1998, admits she opted against going modern or alternative when she was ready to bring her child into the world.

She says, "My experience was done the more traditional way, in a hospital with doctors. I never really gave a though to having my daughter at home."
