Salma Takes Deep Breath For New Role

Screen beauty Salma Hayek has signed up to star in a movie based on the lives of freediver FRANCISCO FERRERAS and his wife AUDREY MESTRE.

The Once Upon A Time In Mexico actress will play Mestre, who died last year (02) while trying to break her own world record of diving 557.7 feet while holding a single breath.

The film is set to be directed by Titanic filmmaker James Cameron for a 2005 release.

Ferreras, who taught his late wife the extreme sport, hopes to match her world record in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico this weekend (11/12OCT03).
