Ryder Kicks Off New Album With Foul-Mouthed Rant
Ex-HAPPY MONDAYS star SHAUN RYDER will release his much-anticipated solo LP this summer (JUN03) - and it features a typically foul-mouthed song.
Ryder, who had hit records with BLACK GRAPE following the demise of the legendary Mondays, has named the LP CLOWNS AND PET SOUNDS, after completing recording in Australia last year (02) - and the first single SCOOTER GIRL features trademark expletive strewn lyrics.
The 40-year-old, who is now performing under the name AMATEUR NIGHT IN THE BIG TOP, sings, "Two f***ing freaks in capes taught me how to keep my f***ing head f***ed and do it well and keep a straight face and never tell."
A spokesman for Ryder explained the album was recorded during "a difficult period" of his life.28/05/2003 21:22
