Roxburgh Fights Love

11 May 2004

Moulin Rouge! star Richard Roxburgh fought against falling in love with his fiancee Silvia Colloca on the set of their new film Van Helsing, because he was determined never to romance a co-star.

The romantic actor admits he has fallen for so many leading ladies, but realised it's all fake.

He says, "I've always tried to avoid it because when you get out of drama school and you're in stuff you've got a leading lady, and she's always gorgeous and you sort of go, 'She's gorgeous and this is lovely and we're doing love scenes - it must be love.'

"It's a trap you fall into and I used to plummet into it all the time, badly. But I found the love of my life doing this movie."
