Ron Howard's Daughter To Replace Nicole Kidman In Trier Trilogy
Film-maker Ron Howard's daughter BRYCE is expected to replace Nicole Kidman in Lars Von Trier's next two films in the trilogy he started with Dogville.
The 21-year-old actress, who's currently shooting M Night Shyamalan's new movie The Village with Joaquin Phoenix, William Hurt and Sigourney Weaver, is negotiating a contract with von Trier, says his producer, Vibeke Windelov.
Windeloev says, "We are currently getting the last pieces to fall in place. These are only details so I am very confident that she will be on the team."
Shooting for MANDALAY - the second instalment - begins on 1 March (04) in Sweden. Kidman couldn't continue in the trilogy because of scheduling conflicts with Mandalay.
Windeloev continues, "Lars picked Bryce Howard because of her fantastic radiation," adding that she and von Trier believe Bryce "will become a big star".
The little-known actress appeared in her father's 1995 movie, APOLLO 13, and in his 2000 film How the Grinch Stole Christmas with Jim Carrey.
