Rocky Horror Reunion
The original cast of cult musical THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW are reuniting for a charity performance honouring fifty years of London's Royal Court Theatre. RICHARD O BRIEN, who played RIFF RAFF in the show, will join fellow cast members PATRICIA QUINN and NELL CAMPBELL, as well as guest stars such as ANTHONY HEAD, TOYAH WILLCOX and CHRISTOPHER BIGGINS. The Rocky Horror Show, which was first staged at the Royal Court in 1973, was voted the theatre's most enjoyable piece of theatre by 16,000 of it's mailing list members - and management agreed to stage the winner. Guest performers for the reunion include actor/singer MICHAEL BALL, comedian ADRIAN EDMONDSON and former BOYZONE star STEPHEN GATELY. Theatre spokesman EWAN THOMSON says, "Richard O'Brien kindly agreed to rewrite certain parts and to go back and make amendments to give it a fresh look and a fresh feel, as well as keeping it in the spirit of how it was originally intended." Thomson adds that "the box office went bananas" when tickets went on sale. Proceeds will go to the Royal Court and Amnesty International.
