Rock Thrills Tsunami Benefit
Comedian CHRIS ROCK thrilled a tsunami benefit concert in Los Angeles on Monday (17JAN05) night by joining the likes of TENACIOUS D, PEARL JAM's EDDIE VEDDER and BECK to give guests a taste of the OSCARS.
The funnyman, who will host the ACADEMY AWARDS next month (FEB05), showed up unannounced at the WILTERN THEATER show, which was organised by comic JACK BLACK.
The show featured solo sets from QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE frontman JOSH HOMME and the FOO FIGHTERS' DAVE GROHL.
All the acts came together for a rousing finale featuring a covers of the CHAMBERS BROTHERS' THE TIME HAS COME TODAY and THE BYRDS' SO YOU WANT TO BE A ROCK 'N' ROLL STAR.19/01/2005 02:58
