Ritchie's Revolver Mauled By Critics

GUY RITCHIE's new movie has been savaged by critics after it's premiere at the Toronto Film Festival.

Just two years after his last effort, SWEPT AWAY, flopped miserably - Revolver, Ritchie's return to the gangster genre, has been dismissed as a "convoluted, risibly overwrought muddle" by one US magazine.

Screen International also warned viewers would be left "bewildered and disappointed" by what the Hollywood Reporter described as "pretentious style and fractured storytelling".

Hollywood Reporter reviewer KIRK HONEYCUTT adds, "The movie spins wildly in circles, continually doubling back on itself, repeating scenes - once even backward - and lines of dialogue until a viewer loses a grip on what is supposed to be real."

JASON STATHAM, RAY LIOTTA and ANDRE '3000' BEJNAMIN star in the movie about a feud between a criminal gambler and a gangland boss.

Ritchie was acconpanied to the Toronto screening by his wife MADONNA - appearing less than a month after she suffered three cracked ribs, a broken collarbone and a broken hand in a horse riding accident.

cec: waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to go, oh great Christian ambassador. In one paragraph you manage to judge, to curse, and to ask Jesus for protection. That is the kind of 'Christianity' the world can do without. you need to go sit in the corner by yourself and do some serious introspection.Ritchie is on a downward streak, it would appear, tho lemme see the film for myself before I trust the critics too much.

Siren, sweetheart, the grammatical errors I pointed out didn't occur in an email, but in a would-be professional quality publication. Not all of us are resigned to seeing illiterate stream-of-consciousness ranting become the standard for all discourse. And, on a purely personal note, might I point out that there are decaffeinated brands on the market that are every bit as tasty as the real thing?

Perhaps the reviewer needs Hollywood style pablum, can't think for himself if it isn't foreshadowed or spelled out for him.

I wish evil on Ritchie and his horrid woman. She ruined his life and the lives of all those around her with her fecal presence. Ritchie and his vile wife have corrupted the arts of film and popular music -- Jesus save us from them attacking literature, theater and dance as well as the myriad forms of music. Screw their money, their power and influence -- they are the Garbage People.

I blame Guy Ritchie and Madonna for the disaster in New Orleans, we could have responded faster if we were not outside wretching our guts at their work....

Regardless of how bad his movie sucks, he deserves an award. I can't imagine having to go home to her everynight. I'd rather beat myself on the head with a claw hammer 18 hours/day.
