Ringo Enters Beatles Download Debate

RINGO STARR has fuelled speculation THE BEATLES' music will be made available to download online, by declaring the online revolution will "one day" happen. The Fab Four's music has been notably absent from online music stores due to their legal wrangles with computer and music player manufacturers Apple and because many of the rights to their songs are owned by MICHAEL JACKSON. Earlier this year (06), The Beatles' music label Apple Corps, who were founded decades earlier than the computer firm, unsuccessfully sued Apple computers, after claiming they have reneged on an agreement they could use the Apple name and a logo of the fruit as long as they stayed away from the music business. Following the London court case, Apple Corps announced plans to bring The Beatles into the digital revolution. While refusing to name a date, Starr says, "The Beatles music will one day be downloading."
