Rare Violin Found In Alley
A $95,000 (52,780) violin lost by a Pennsylvania musician has been found in a New York alley.
The An 18th-century BARTOLOMEO CALVAROS (corr) violin was reported missing early last week (beg12APR04) after HARRISBURG SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA first-chair violinist ODIN RATHNAM left it in a bar.
The rare violin was found by police in an alley behind the bar.
Rathnam says, "I'm the luckiest man alive. This is like a reunion.
"When you finally learn to play and find an instrument you're compatible with, it's a relationship. You feel like you lost a loved one when you lose it."20/04/2004 02:23
