Rap Stars Team Up For Hip-Hop Musical
SALT-N-PEPA star CHERYL 'SALT' JAMES has teamed up with former KID-N-PLAY rapper CHRISTOPHER 'PLAY' MARTIN to create a hip-hop gospel stage musical.
RISE was written and conceived by Martin and James and centres around a character called RAPP who faces tough decisions on how to handle the temptations that come along with being a successful musician.
The play's cast of 22 includes members of the pioneering rap group WHODINI, TAMIKA SCOTT of R+B group XSCAPE, and TONI BRAXTON's sister TRINA.
The play kicks off in Atlanta, Georgia, on 14 December (03) and will hit 19 other cities across America.16/12/2003 09:08
