Rafferty Taken To Hospital With Head Injury
Veteran singer GERRY RAFFERTY was rushed to hospital yesterday (31MAR05) with a head injury, after falling down the stairs at his London home.
The BAKER STREET star was taken from his Hampstead abode to the British capital's St Mary's Hospital.
A spokesperson says, "He is still under assessment."
However, British newspaper the DAILY MIRROR writes that "prescription drugs and evidence of heavy drinking" were found at Rafferty's home and that his injuries were the result of a "suspected overdose".
A neighbour tells the publication, "When the ambulance came, he had an injury to his forehead.
"I don't know anything about an overdose. I spoke to him last night and he seemed in fine spirits."01/04/2005 14:00
