Radiohead's Strange Year

British rockers RADIOHEAD have mixed feelings about the band's success in 2003 - because they feel they no longer "fit in" with the music industry.

The THERE THERE hitmakers' new album HAIL TO THE THIEF was acclaimed by fans and critics, but they insist they remain outsiders in the wider industry community.

Singer THOM YORKE laments, "Parts of the year were very tough. Psychologically it's been kind of difficult. The way the whole music scene is, it's getting more and more strange and we're finding it less easy to fit in.

"We did sort of make an effort to be nice this time and we still managed to not fit in at all. Finishing the record, I went through a bad patch. I think it's a good time to get out of the way."
