R+B Star Found Dead
R+B star DAVID TOWNSEND has been found dead at his home in Northridge, California.
The keyboard player was a member of recently reformed 1980s group SURFACE, who scored hits with SHOWER ME WITH YOUR LOVE and HAPPY.
The cause of death is not known.
Townsend's father ED TOWNSEND, co-wrote MARVIN GAYE's LET'S GET IT ON.
