Prowse's Anger Over Star Wars Snub
Original DARTH VADER star DAVID PROWSE is furious he was never approached to reprise his villainous role for the final installment of the STAR WARS saga.
The former bodybuilder first stepped into the black costume for 1977's STAR WARS: EPISODE IV - A NEW HOPE, and subsequently in EPISODE V - THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK (1980) and EPISODE VI - RETURN OF THE JEDI (1983).
And while he helped immortalise Darth Vader as one of the most feared movie characters, creator GEORGE LUCAS overlooked Prowse when he cast new film EPISODE III - REVENGE OF THE SITH.
He tells British magazine EMPIRE, "I was very disappointed that they didn't ask me to reprise my Vader in the final film. They didn't even discuss it with me."17/05/2005 17:21
