Prowse Makes His Living From Star Wars Conventions

Former STAR WARS star DAVID PROWSE is still reaping the financial benefits of starring in the initial three sci-fi movies - as a guest speaker at Jedi-themed conventions around the world.

The towering actor, who played the evil DARTH VADER, failed to follow-up on the success of STAR WARS: EPISODE VI - RETURN OF THE JEDI in 1983 - his last work on the big screen.

However, Prowse refuses to wallow in his lack of fortune in the film industry - because he earns a comfortable living recounting his Vader experiences in the company of Star Wars fanatics.

He tells British magazine EMPIRE, "The Star Wars convention scene has become so big that now I do nothing else - I travel round the world on someone else's expense. It's great."
