Promoter Slams Eminem Over Tour Cancellation
LATEST: EMINEM's decision to cancel his forthcoming European tour has left one promoter fuming, because he believes "exhaustion" to not be a good enough reason for disappointing thousands of fans.
HENRY MOUNTCHARLES, who owns Slane Castle in Ireland, is "not very happy" the US rapper has pulled out of next month's (SEP05) 10 date leg of his Anger Management 3 tour.
Lord Mountcharles is also upset that Eminem's record label, Interscope, put out a statement announcing the cancelled gigs without approaching him first.
He says, "In all the years that Slane has been running, we've never been confronted by a scenario like this.
"I don't think THE ROLLING STONES or U2 would cancel a section owing to nervous exhaustion.
"I don't deem that I've had a proper explanation."
Yesterday (17AUG05), Interscope said, "Eminem is currently being treated for exhaustion, complicated by other medical issues."
The STAN star had been due to play gigs in France, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, the Netherlands and Britain, including a concert at Slane Castle on 17 September.
