Producers Won't Cut Kanye's Latest Attack On Bush
MTV bosses have chosen to let outspoken rapper KANYE WEST's latest anti-GEORGE W BUSH rant stand when his taped concert special airs this weekend (18SEP05).
The rap star's controversial comments during a benefit telethon earlier this month (02SEP05) were axed from a later broadcast when TV bosses balked at his claim, "George Bush doesn't care about black people."
But MTV bosses have no plans to censor comments West made during a $2 BILL concert in Los Angeles on Saturday night (10SEP05), which was taped for broadcast on US cable channel MTV2. West took a moment during the show at the Henry Ford Music Box Theatre to tell fans the criticism he faced for slamming Bush was nothing compared to the hardship African-American survivors of the hurricane have had to deal with in recent weeks.
The rapper blasted, "I can think of a lot worse things that could happen to me, like how about not eating for five days... or how about not knowing where your f**king family is."
West also continued his attack on President Bush, calling his recent trips to the devastated Gulf coast region of America a chance "to kiss some black people".
The rap star claims Bush didn't act quickly enough to help those left stranded by last month's (AUG05) hurricane.
