Prince Takes On The Media

Pop star Prince has written a new song attacking the role the media played in the aftermath to the September 11 (01) terrorist attacks.

The Purple Rain hitmaker accuses the media of creating a climate of fear and xenophobia after the Al-Qaeda attacks on New York and Washington DC, in CINNAMON GIRL, which appears on his new album.

Prince says the song is "a snapshot of now. We live in a real xenophobic place.

"They talk about all these terrorists. But I didn't feel no terror until the media told me to feel it. Who am I supposed to be feeling terrified of."
