Prince Demands Will Smith Pay To See Him Play

PRINCE proved he treats the public and his showbiz pals equally at his gig on Monday night (15MAR04) - Hollywood star WILL SMITH was turned away because he wouldn't buy a ticket.

Staff at New York's BLACK nightclub reserved a table for Smith and his pals for Prince's post-ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME induction performance - but the BAD BOYS actor was shocked when Prince's representatives asked for $80 (GBP44) for a ticket.

A highly annoyed Smith left, but, according to sources, other celebrities including ALICIA KEYS, CHRIS ROCK, PUFFY COMBS, LENNY KRAVITZ and SEAN LENNON, were ushered in by the back entrance to ensure they evaded Prince's representatives and didn't have to pay.
