Prince Charles Calls On Famous Friends
ROBBIE WILLIAMS and VICTORIA BECKHAM are among glittering names being enlisted by PRINCE CHARLES to liven up his charity THE PRINCE'S TRUST.
The British heir to the throne hopes the new names will make the charity more appealing to young people than previous celebrity links, such as ageing GENESIS drummer PHIL COLLINS.
SIR TOM SHEBBEARE, chief executive of the Trust, says, "We had Phil Collins and JOE COCKER 25 years ago. Our audience now is more RADIO 1 than RADIO 2. We will do more urban music and hip-hop because that's what our punters are into."
Other celebrities linked to the re-brand of the charity, which aims to help people aged 14 to 30 get a foothold in life, include model and mother ELIZABETH HURLEY and fashion designer STELLA McCARTNEY.22/07/2003 13:43
