Posh Battles Bextor Again

Victoria Beckham is to revisit the scene of her greatest defeat when she goes head-to-head with rival Sophie Ellis-Bextor in the British charts.

POSH SPICE famously lost out on the number one slot in 2000 with OUT OF YOUR MIND, her debut solo single with Dane Bowers, to the massive dancefloor hit GROOVEJET (IF THIS AIN'T LOVE), which featured Sophie on vocals.

And now the rivalry between the pair is set to resurface. On 29 December (03) Victoria will release the double A-side LET YOUR HEAD GO and THIS GROOVE in a last-ditch bid to revive her solo career - but that same day Sophie's new single I WON'T CHANGE YOU is coming out.

A source close to MURDER ON THE DANCEFLOOR singer Sophie giggles, "It wasn't planned to choose the same day as Victoria but I'm sure Sophie smiled when she realised. She will probably be very confident, especially after how things went three years ago.

"It will be interesting to see if Victoria moves her release date after hearing who she is up against."
