Portman's Dad Heads For Hollywood

Actress Natalie Portman's father DR ANVER HERSCHLAG is hoping to transfer his considerable knowledge of baby-making into a Hollywood thriller.

Portman's fame and success in the movie business has now inspired her medical dad to get in on the action.

Herschlag, who serves as the head of the donor egg programme at a New York medical centre, is currently showing a script to producers and studios about a mad doctor who swipes the eggs of the first female president.

Provisionally titled MISCONCEPTION, the doctor keeps the "first eggs" captive until the president comes out in support of human cloning.

The story's heroine is a gynaecologist named ANYA KRIM - and it is rumoured that his 23-year-old daughter already has her eye on the role.
