Pope's Death Leaves Impersonator Out Of Work
The recent death of POPE JOHN PAUL II has proved to be particularly devastating for his movie impersonator, because he's now out of a job.
For the past 20 years, 79-year-old EUGENE GREYTAK has made a living out of playing the pontiff at more than 1,000 parties, hundreds of events and in more than 20 movies, including SISTER ACT, HOT SHOTS! and THE NAKED GUN 33 1/3: THE FINAL INSULT.
In the past year alone, the California resident has had 14 job offers, but ever since the pope's 2 April (05) passing, Greytak has mostly been receiving calls of condolence.
He says, "Friends have been calling me from all over the world. It has been very sad for everyone, but especially for me."19/04/2005 21:53
