Pink Floyd Confirm Classic Line-Up Is Back

Legendary rockers PINK FLOYD have confirmed their classic line-up will reunite for a performance at the London leg of charity event LIVE 8 next month (JUL05).

ROGER WATERS, DAVE GILMOUR, RICK WRIGHT and NICK MASON, the personnel who recorded the all-time great album DARK SIDE OF THE MOON in 1973, will hit the stage at the 2 July (05) fundraiser in Hyde Park for the first time since they last performed live together in 1981.

Guitarist Gilmour says, "Like most people I want to do everything I can to persuade the G8 leaders to make huge commitments to the relief of poverty and increased aid to the third world.

"Any squabbles Roger and the band have had in the past are so petty in this context, and if reforming for this concert will help focus attention then it's got to be worthwhile."

Live 8 concerts will be staged in London, Berlin, Rome, Paris and Philadelphia on 2 July, and a sixth show will take place in Scotland on 6 July to coincide with the G8 summit.

	Its great to have the Pink Floyd back together for such a noble occasion Hope they bring out a lot more of songs which is going to flutter our hearts. As Shakespeare said ..."If Music Be the Food OF Love then play on..." SO hope the Pink Floyds continue to ignite the love in the hearts of millions as they continue to play on ..

	Bring back Syd? Are you retarded? You DO realise he's actually an overweight 60 year old who has lived with his Mum the last 40 years and has zero interest in playing music...even if he could remember how he wouldn't want to... I mean, its a nice idea to pull the arrogant twerps who actually still play, but wont play together, for a good cause and a show, but to dredge up poor old Syd would be both inhumane and probably quite a sad experience for everyone. Lets have a full album and tour from the floyd. To get Gilmours Guitar and voice back with waters Lyrics and drive would do music a favour, now and forever.
