Pike Shuns Hollywood

BOND babe ROSAMUND PIKE refuses to try and conquer Hollywood - because Tinseltown's leading ladies are already too famous for her.

The British DIE ANOTHER DAY actress has been encouraged to follow up her silver screen success by moving to Los Angeles and concentrating on her American profile - but Pike, 24, sees the exercise as a futile affair.

She explains, "In Hollywood, it's all about box office and there are a whole lot of actresses who are at least three hits ahead of me.

"For example, every studio wants to sign NICOLE KIDMAN because her name guarantees box office success. I wouldn't expect to be anywhere near there.

"And anyway, it's not a matter of saying, 'I've arrived,' because you never do."
