Phantom Makes It One And Two On Broadway For Lloyd Webber
Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom Of The Opera musical has become Broadway, New York's second longest-running stageshow of all time.
The dark production passed Les Miserables last week (ends06FEB04) with show number 6,681 at the MAJESTIC THEATRE.
Only Lloyd Webber's CATS was on Broadway longer, notching up 7,485 performance in its 18-year run.
Phantom of The Opera has now grossed more than $3.2 billion around the world, having played in 20 countries.
