Perry Farrell's Lack Of Love
JANE'S ADDICTION frontman PERRY FARRELL blames "a lack of love" for the reformed band's demise - but admits heroin also played a part.
The SO WHAT! performer accepts drug abuse was rife during their late-eighties heyday, but claims poor relationships led to their split in 1991.
Perry - who reformed the rockers in 1997 - explains, "Heroin was definitely leading us by the hand into the s****er, that's for sure. But at the same time, the fact we didn't become bigger was more to do with the lack of love and friendship within the band than anything else.
"I won't say that drugs didn't play a part in it, but I think it was because, as people, we didn't truly appreciate each other. I don't really remember the drugs part because I didn't do drugs with those guys. I always did drugs with a woman, it was more fun."01/07/2003 17:25
