Perfectionist Liman Risked Career For Smith Movie

Director DOUG LIMAN was so determined to perfect upcoming movie MR AND MRS SMITH - he didn't care if he wrecked his career by scrapping expensive scenes and carrying out reshoots.

Liman had created a vast snow-capped mountain at FOX STUDIOS in Hollywood for one scene in the upcoming BRAD PITT and ANGELINA JOLIE movie - only to delete the entire sequence when he decided it didn't fit.

He says, "I'm extremely tenacious.

"The movie becomes the most important thing in the world, and I don't care if it destroys my career and I can never make another movie."
