Penguin Film Beating War Of The Worlds Per-Screen06 July 2005
A little documentary about migrating penguins has been declared the hit of the summer (05) in America - as far as individual screenings are concerned.
The film opened in just 20 cinemas late last month (JUN05) but made $7,000 (GBP4,000) more per screen than War of The Worlds.
The sleeper hit about Antarctica's emperor penguins and their arduous annual trek to their breeding grounds has made $750,000 (GBP416,700) so far on limited release.06/07/2005 09:14
