Penelope + Matthew Mixed Up About Romance

Penelope Cruz and her boyfriend Matthew Mcconaughey need to get their stories straight if they're to convince the world their romance is for real.

The couple have been accused of dating just to boost figures for their new action movie Sahara, but while the Spanish beauty is keen to coo about her new love, McConaughey seems to have cooled on the subject.

In a recent hotel interview conducted just yards away from her supposed new beau, Cruz told a reporter, "We'll be apart for four months while I'm in Europe, but when I'm back it would be really nice if we could be together forever."

Meanwhile, in a nearby room, laidback McConaughey stated, "I love her a lot, but to say that I had a romance with her - that's like saying that I'm getting it on with my sister."
