Patti Labelle Set For Songwriters Hall Of Fame Honour
Singer Patti Labelle is set to be honoured by the NATIONAL ACADEMY OF POPULAR MUSIC/SONGWRITERS HALL OF FAME's 34th annual induction and awards dinner.
The LADY MARMALADE singer will receive the lifetime achievement award, which will take place in New York on 12 June (03).
This year's (03) Towering Song award is I LEFT MY HEART IN SAN FRANCISCO, written by GEORGE C CORY JR and DOUGLASS CROSS. The Towering Performance award, new this year, goes to Tony Bennett for his rendition of the classic.
