Pathology Honour Thrills Petersen

CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION star WILLIAM PETERSEN has won a number of awards but nothing will ever top his honour from the American Society for Criminal Pathology.

The TV star, who plays forensics expert GIL GRISSOM on the hit series, was invited to the pathologists' annual convention last year (03) and was thrilled when he was honoured there.

He says, "It's the best award I've ever gotten - way better than an EMMY. These are the nerds who basically invented forensic science.

"What's great is that now when people ask what they do and they say they're a pathologist or a coroner, the response is, `You mean like on CSI?'"
