P Diddy: I Only Go To Fashion Awards For Freebies
Rap mogul SEAN 'P DIDDY' COMBS refuses to become downbeat over his repeated failure to win at the COUNCIL OF FASHION DESIGNER AWARDS - because he just turns up for the free alcohol.
The hip-hop star - who is nominated for Men's Designer Of The Year at the style bash in New York tonight (07JUN04) - is under no illusions his SEAN JOHN label can rival the global mite of veteran fashion gurus, but is always happy attending the event for all the food and drink which is dished out free of charge.
He says, "I'm nominated for men's designer of the year up against RALPH LAUREN and Marc Jacobs.
"I lose every year but I just love to go there and lose. They give me free drinks and free food and it's 'phat' and I get to dress up it'll be a great thing."
