Owen Plays John Trick On Pals

TAKE THAT star Mark Owen fools his friends into thinking SIR ELTON JOHN sends him a Christmas card every year - by recycling a card the superstar sent him several years ago.

The BACK FOR GOOD hitmaker - who will perform reunion gigs with fellow Take That members next year (06) - is such a huge fan of the veteran singer/songwriter, he loves to convince pals he is a permanent fixture on his Christmas card list.

He says, "I tell my mates Elton sends me one every year and just get out the same card.

"It's great that Gary Barlow is performing at his hen night. I haven't been invited to the wedding sadly."
