Osbourne Wins Court Hearing
Ozzy Osbourne won a hearing at America's Supreme Court today (3MAY04) after a judge threw out two musicians's claims the veteran rocker owed them royalty payments.
Bassist ROBERT DAISLEY and drummer LEE KERSLAKE were appealing a 1998 decision when they sued Osbourne seeking monies for their work on his early '80s solo albums BLIZZARD OF OZZ and DIARY OF A MADMAN.
Lawyer NATE KRAUT, representing the two rockers, told the court his clients hadn't received credit for co-writing songs which are now regularly used in television commercials during broadcasts of American football games.
He said, "Their music is literally everywhere."
But a Californian judge dismissed the musician's pleas for an appeal to the previous hearing.
