Ono Fondly Remembers Lennon's Generosity
Rock widow YOKO ONO's most powerful memory of her late husband JOHN LENNON is "his kindness" - which often proved invaluable in times of marital crisis.
The 70-year-old artist - who lost her BEATLES star spouse in 1980 when he was gunned down in New York - still fondly recalls Lennon's ability to "spend days" apologising to her after losing his temper.
She says, "What stays with me is his kindness. He always showed such consideration for me. Whenever he got angry - we're all human - he would spend hours, days even, apologising.
"Some people are stubborn, they refuse to admit they're wrong. John was never like that. He'd feel genuinely ashamed."28/11/2003 17:21
