Ono Defends Living Choice

JOHN LENNON'S widow Yoko Ono has defended her decision to continue living in the building she once shared with the former beatle. The widow and her now-grown son SEAN lived in the Dallas Building, New York City, with Lennon prior to his death in 1980, when he was shot outside it by Mark Chapman. Despite constant pressure to move on and away from the scene of the tragedy, Ono insists it'll always be home. She says, "I am not trapped there. When Western Europeans say, 'But how can you stand living in a place where that happened?' it's a kind of racism. "You stay in the place you made a home. The fact that one member of the family has died should not make you want to move out. "That's the only home John and I had. It's the place where John was, where we were together, the place where Sean was from the beginning of his life. "I'm not going to throw it away."

I feel Yoko is oight on track WHY would she move and yes you reporters need to get your facts straight it is the Dakota building in New York City where are your brains or we're you even alive when the tragedy happened I was and it was one of the worst days of my life!!!!! Yoko and John bought Sean home there from the hospital and it is no different than if dear George Harrison's widow Olivia and Dhani there son leaving Friar Park which if you reporters remember where George was brutually attacked they did not move and as I understand Olivia and Dhani are still keeping up the beautiful gardens George started and then they all did together. now that dear George has moved on to his next spiritual journey and I'm sure with John.John fought so long and hard to get his green cardfor permament residency in the US he loved NY so why would Yoko want it any other way it is a stupid thoughtand also regarding the movie I think it is a disgraceand the actors in it we're not even alive then and have no idea who John Lennon was it is a fast buck for them and I feel for Yoko Sean Julian and all of the beatle related families not just Ringo and Paul should not have to relive this I know thatI FOR ONE WILL NOT PAY A CENT TO SEE IT or want to relive that day. Where is the empathy and all it is doing is giving Mark Chapman more fame just what he set out to do it is SICK SO VERY SICK!!!!!!!!! LOVE AND PEACE TO SEANYOKO AND OF COURSE JULIAN cathy anne

Yes, I can also confirm that it was the Dakota Apartment block and not the Dallas Building. These stupid reporters, I wish they would get their facts right before publishing.Furthemore the Dakota Apartment block is/was Yoko's and Sean's home why should they have to move. It was, after John's last home with Yoko and Sean. To give it up would be like giving in to that sick psychopath.Making a film about that sick Chapman is as sick as the channel 4 documentary, for which there was an online petition to stop it being shown. Where is the online petition to ban, or boycott, the Jared Leto film.
