Ono Blasts Society's Ageism
John Lennon's widow Yoko Ono has slammed the western world's intolerance of older people.
The 72-year-old argues older generations are sidelined in modern society's eternal quest for youth - even though there are more older people than ever.
Ono says, "I think ageism is much worse in this culture than either sexism or racism. The power of older people in this world means quite a lot and it is being totally ignored at a time when there are so many of us.
"I want to stop this negative attitude towards people over 40."
