Olivier Makes Hollywood Comeback

SIR Laurence Olivier is making a Hollywood comeback 15 years after his death - old footage has been used to give him a cameo role in new movie SKY CAPTAIN AND THE WORLD OF TOMORROW.

Film-makers have used film of Lord Olivier as a young man - with new dialogue voiced by another actor - to create the leader of an army of killer robots in the sci-fi film.

The movie's star Jude Law made the revelation at the COMIC-CON INTERNATIONAL sc-fi convention in San Diego, California at the weekend (24/25JUL04).

Law explains, "He plays my nemesis. And he's referred to throughout the movie so you know eventually you're going to get to see this bad guy. It builds up, and you only see him in the last minutes, and he's in hologram form."

The three-times OSCAR winner, who died in 1989 aged 82, is widely regarded as the greatest acting talent in Hollywood history.
