Nolte Advises Cruise
Hollywood heart-throb Tom Cruise has been taking career advice from big screen veteran Nick Nolte.
Tinseltown badboy Nolte chooses his film roles on the strength of the script over his fees and has advised Cruise to take some time out of making blockbusters.
Nolte says, "I one had Cruise come to me after two years of hit after hit asking me how to change his character.
"And I said to him, 'Have you thought about not working for a couple of years?' He said, 'I can't do that. I'm getting $15 million a picture!'
"So you become trapped by your own circumstances of success. It makes you very, very miserable. You've trapped your creativity. It's no longer your own."
