Nicolas Cage Blames Himself For Eccentric Image
Nicolas Cage blames himself for fans' assumptions he's eccentric - because
he purposefully created that image of himself.
The GONE IN SIXTY SECONDS star, who has often hit headlines for reportedly
bizarre behaviour, admits he cooked up a plan to look like the wild man of
Hollywood.
He says, "I wanted to generate an image at one time that I thought would
be maybe wild and eccentric and fun. I think part of it was a plan to sort of
create an image."
But Cage eventually ditched his plan when his 10-year-old son WESTON was
born.
He explains, "When I became a father I stopped smoking, I fastened my
seatbelt. I had to pull myself out of the narcissism of an actor and put me
into the reality that there's someone more important than me that I can care
about and love."
