Nick Carter And O.TOWN Cancel Concert

09 April 2003

BACKSTREET BOY NICK CARTER's efforts as a solo rocker have panned out badly
for the pop hunk - his planned concert has been cancelled due to
"disappointing" ticket sales.

Carter was set to team up with boy band O-Town for the show, which was due
to take place at the CIVIC CENTER in Anderson, South Carolina, on Friday
(11APR03).

Promoter LGI ENTERTAINMENT axed the show after only about 1,000 advance
concert tickets were sold for the venue, which can hold as many as 3,500
people.

The gig was initially scheduled to take place in the 18,000 seat WILLIAM A
FLOYD AMPHITHEATER on the same property, but it was later moved to the smaller
Civic Center.
