Jack Nicholson - Nicholson Berates Himself For Smoking

Hollywood legend JACK NICHOLSON is disgusted with himself - for being unable to give up his smoking habit.

The AS GOOD AS IT GETS actor, 66, has repeatedly failed to rid himself of the life-threatening habit, despite being a single-minded and determined character.

And now the veteran screen star fears that his inability to relinquish smoking will lead to a premature death.

He says, "I would be so happy if I didn't smoke. I'm so wilful that I can't believe I can't break the habit.

"I don't want to be lying around dying in (a hospital bed) thinking I was stupid enough not to prevent the inevitable.

"I'd be admitting that a man as petrified as I am of dying did it to himself."
