Newman Visits Childhood Home

Veteran actor PAUL NEWMAN took time out of his political campaigning on Saturday (30OCT04) to visit his childhood home in Ohio.

Newman and other celebrities were campaigning in the neighbourhood of Shaker Heights for presidential hopeful JOHN KERRY, when the movie star asked homeowner KEN TOMECKI if he could see his old house.

As a treat, the screen star took the owners to the spot in the basement where he and his father used to hide cigarette butts from his mother.
