Naughty Oliver Twist Star Misses Vogue For Detention
04 October 2005Trouble-making OLIVER TWIST star Barney Clark missed out on a prestigious photo shoot for Vogue magazine because he was in detention at school.
Clark, 12, plays the innocent titular character in Roman Polanski's big-budget movie, but admits he regularly upsets his teachers in real-life.
He says, "I was messing around and not concentrating in class so I was made to stay behind as punishment.
"Detentions normally last 45 minutes but the meaner teachers give you ones that last an hour and a half.
"Other times they give you a tick on a board. Three ticks and you're out. There's probably still a long line of ticks next to my name."
