Naive Greer Quits Big Brother
Feminist icon Germaine Greer has quit a British reality show, insisting she was "a little naive" to agree to appear on the show in the first place.
Greer joined Brigitte Nielsen and British sports commentator JOHN McCRIRICK among others on Celebrity Big Brother, but has walked out after just five days, calling the project "a fascist prison".
Greer, 65, has since announced she hated the experience and she has slated producers of the hit show. She insists reality television cannot be described as "wholesome family entertainment".
Greer agreed to appear on the show to raise funds to save a large part of an Australian rainforest.
She now says, "The rainforest will be fine. I'll save it in other ways."
