My Chemical Romance Urge Fans Not To Buy New Record

Big-hearted rocker GERARD WAY is begging MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE fans not to buy the group's hit new album THREE CHEERS FOR SWEET REVENGE this week (beg05SEP05) - and donate the money to charity instead.

The HELENA singer wants fans to plough money into relief efforts for the victims of Hurricane Katrina and believes album money should be given away instead.

Speaking on MTV's TOTAL REQUEST LIVE show yesterday (06SEP05) he said, "If you're gonna go buy our record this week, don't buy our record just donate to the Red Cross or anything you think can help the hurricane victims."

And Way insists the goth-rockers are planning to do everything they can to keep their fans focused on the devastation in America.

He adds, "For our Fall (05) tour, we're gonna try to do a food drive and figure out a way where they (relief workers) could come, pick up and do drop offs, so we can help out.

"It's a time where you can all really pitch in and help out."

	i think its really cool and sweet that GERARD is asking everyone to do this cos its there money there loosing, i definitely am gonna join in and donate money to charity just like everyone else should whos a my chemical romance fan...

	I think to come out with something like that you would have to be a star because telling my chemical romance fans not to get the album give the money to charity that is unbeliveable.I thing Gerard Way and the rest of the great band should get a medal and everyone else should try and help.

	I think it is so awsome of you guys to ask for people to donate money to the relief efforts. Not many people would do that, more or less super hot rockers! You actuallly made me want to help out at one of the relief stations, and it is no small feat to get me off of my laxy butt, lol. If you get the chance, please, PLEASE try to play a concert in Columbus, Ohio. I just moved from Cali and didnt get to go to your concert in San Jose,I already had my ticket too, oh well, my loss.
