Musical Duo Team Up For Batman

Award-winning composers HANS ZIMMER and JAMES NEWTON HOWARD have teamed up to pen the score for the upcoming new BATMAN movie.

The music men decided to work together on the new CHRISTOPHER NOLAN film after six-time ACADEMY AWARD winner Zimmer balked at the idea of working on the dark score alone.

Zimmer tells THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, "It occurred to me that my friend James had said to me, 'Let's do something together.' It was a completely idiotic idea."

But teamwork has paid off for the dynamic duo, who have been close friends and neighbours in Santa Monica, California, for the past decade.

Between them, they've scored 190 films.
